Nurse giving foot massage"The care at Park Attwood is like a herbal remedy - if you only extract part of the plant, a chemical compound or active component, it doesn’t have the same therapeutic effect as the whole plant. It’s the full programme of therapies, medication, emotional support and even the place itself, that all works together. You are not ‘the MS patient’, where the focus is all about the condition. The emphasis is not on illness but on healing. If you’re not careful MS can totally colour your life so that you lose sight of the person you were before, and inherently are still. Park Attwood is a good reminder of the fact that you are not the MS, and works on nurturing your own strengths so that you are not overwhelmed by the disease."
