PARK ATTWOOD PATIENT PLAN
how does it work?
In return for a contribution which can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually, subscribers will not be obliged to pay further for their treatment if they are attending the clinic as in-patients. When admission has been agreed, we will help to explore other sources of funding if this is appropriate and we will discuss the possibility of making a donation. However, the Patient Plan is there as a 'safety net' to ensure treatment if other sources are not available - the Plan’s conditions are set out below.
conditions
- eligibility to benefit through the Plan will start twelve months after the enrolment form was signed and when the first year’s contributions have been received
- the decision to admit a patient will be carefully considered, as is usual, on medical grounds after an out-patient assessment by one of our doctors
- we regret that Park Attwood cannot offer the following:
- treatment for severe psychiatric disorders
- surgery or high technology medicine
- ongoing residential care
- out-patient services are not covered by this Plan
- the management reserves the right to close the Patient Plan with four months’ notice and regrets that no refund of monies would be possible
- if a contributor withdraws from the Plan, no refunds of contributions would be made. Furthermore, since the Plan relies on an ongoing commitment for its success, we regret that no application to rejoin the Plan will be considered within two years, except under circumstances considered exceptional by Park Attwood’s management
- all contributions are freely given on a non-contractual basis
contributions
Rather than set fixed rates, we prefer to offer contribution guidelines. Each individual is then free to offer what they can, according to their own commitments and financial resources, provided that this is at or above the minimum shown. Contributions above the minimum level may qualify for Gift-aid and also help us to broaden the range of support we can provide to others.

groups and organisations
Many groups and organisations have also joined the scheme. The benefits to them are:
- reduced subscription rate
- reduced qualifying period (that is, the waiting time from the date of joining until admission to the clinic)

Our Patient Plan thus becomes a community of support around Park Attwood Clinic. This community, in its turn, is strengthened to offer support back to those individuals within it who need help. The Patient Plan is an expression of the interdependency of the clinic and its subscribers, and relies for its success on the mutual recognition of this fact.
