We don’t treat:

  • acute mental illnesses that require specialist services
  • active substance misuse/dependency
  • profound learning disability that requires a high level of specialist care

the medical team

The clinic is staffed by experienced practitioners - a committed team of conventionally qualified doctors and nurses who have had further training in anthroposophic medicine, supported by a team of qualified therapists (eurythmy, rhythmical massage, hydrotherapy, art therapy and counselling). Click here for a fact sheet which gives details of the qualifications and experience of Park Attwood’s staff.

Most doctors are GP-trained; all are registered with the General Medical Council. They recommend the treatment programme and prescribe therapies and medication. Regular team meetings ensure treatment is integrated to a high standard.

Massage at Park Attwood"I spent four weeks over the summer as a patient here. I have struggled with mental health problems since 1994 and have taken various related allopathic medication. It was my deepest wish to come off my medication and come into a more positive relationship with my illness and its cause. My experience here by far exceeded my expectations. I received support and true understanding of my illness and as a result of the integrated anthroposophic approach I am now free of my allopathic medication. I am now in control of my illness and for eight years it had control over me. I am deeply grateful to all of the staff at Park Attwood. I feel like a whole human being again. Park Attwood is a place where if you are receptive to the therapies miracles can occur"
